Fontana di Trevi
A legend says that whoever throws a coin into this fountain will return to Rome.In 1730 Pope Clement XII held a design contest and Nicola Salvi was eventually chosen to build the Trevi Work began in 1732 and the fountain was completed in 1762.

Piazza di Spagna or the Spanish Steps
A series of steps with Trinita' dei Monti church on top and Fontana della Barcaccia fountain at the bottom, this piazza is popular with tourists and local vendors, especially in the summer. The monumental stairway of 138 steps was built with French diplomat Étienne Gueffier’s in 1723–1725.
